Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer in the Allentown, PA area who will design and deliver electric utility projects. You will work with GIS and utility systems, manage scope and schedules, and coordinate with clients and utilities.

The role supports field data collection and occasional site visits to ensure compliant, high-quality deliverables. Requirements include 4+ years in electric utility design, a BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, and a PE license (PA

Qualifications

4+ years of prior relevant experience in electric utility design engineering or electric utility consulting.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license; must be able to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania.
Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
Experience coordinating utilities and large design packages in urban environments; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customers.
Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready using GIS and business systems.
Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
Perform planning, client follow-up, and project coordination.
Coordinate conflicting utilities and field engineering requirements; prepare large design packages.
Occasional field-site visits for data collection and project support.
