Job summary

Leidos in Allentown, PA, seeks a Senior Distribution Engineer to lead electric utility design projects. You will coordinate with clients, develop work packages, and manage scope, schedule, and budget across OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready segments.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, an ABET‑accredited engineering degree, and an active PE license or ability to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania. Travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain in PA.
• 4+ years of electric utility design engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready, using GIS/WMS systems such as ArcGIS, Smallworld, and Maximo.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
• Perform planning and/or customer follow-up.
• Perform scope analysis and maintain schedule to meet client priorities.
• Initiate continuous improvement to workflows for high-quality client design deliverables.
• Coordinate conflicting utilities and develop large design packages for complex projects in dense urban areas; handle work permits, easements, and ROW applications.
• Be comfortable in field and office settings; occasional site visits.
