Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer in the Allentown, PA area to design electric utility projects and coordinate with clients. The role blends field and office work, with some travel within Pennsylvania and nearby regions.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in electric utility design, a PE license, NESC experience, and an ABET-accredited engineering degree. Strong communication and coordination skills are required to manage multi-disciplinary work packages and ensure high-quality

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in electric utility design engineering.
ABET-accredited BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial engineering.
Active Professional Engineer license; PA licensure or ability to obtain.
Experience with NESC and electric distribution design.
Ability to travel locally/regionally as needed.

Responsibilities

Design engineering for electric utility customers.
Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready using GIS/WMS systems.
Manage scope, schedule, and budget for assigned work.
Perform planning and client follow-up tasks.
Analyze scope and maintain schedule adherence to client priorities.
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of deliverables.
Coordinate with utilities and manage field/office design packages; support field data collection.
