Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility. You will manage quality, safety, inventory, and client communication to deliver excellent resident experiences.

The role requires oversight of staff, records, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as HCSG policies. Residency in the service area is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality; coursework preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred; must obtain FPM within 14 days and FSM/LTC-FSM within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; fill roles as needed (dietary aide, cook, dishwasher).
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff effectively.
• Ensure sanitary operations by following infection control and handwashing procedures.
