Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility. You will oversee food quality, inventory, safety, and customer service while ensuring adherence to menus, regulations, and HCSG policies.

The role requires coordination with client managers, staff, and administrators, with responsibilities including training, record-keeping, and maintenance of a sanitary environment. Residency in the service area is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills with ability to maintain records and reports.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff effectively.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning products and report equipment needs or malfunctions promptly.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively through interactions with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
