Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will oversee food quality, safety, inventory, and patient/customer service, while ensuring adherence to menus and regulations.

The role requires supervision experience, effective communication, and ability to manage records and operate within HCSG systems. It offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Must have either an Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred (or as required by state law).
• Must obtain FPM within 14 days of employment and FSM/LTC-FSM within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, inventories, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training and in-service sessions; fill roles as needed (dietary aide, cook, dishwasher).
• Communicate directives from clients, occupants, and administrators to staff effectively.
• Ensure sanitary conditions, infection control, and safety practices are followed.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with staff and residents.
