Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Dining Hall Lead III in Alaska to assist the Head Cook in coordinating food preparation and buffet service for employees, crew, and customers. A co-pay of $15 per day for room and board applies when working a minimum of 8 hours.

The role requires steering kitchen operations, flexible learning of galley roles, and responsibility for inventory, cleaning, and food service with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s card; required within 30 days of employment.
• Has worked in a Lead position at a Trident location for a minimum of 3+ years
• HS Diploma or equivalent (or degree, etc.)
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food preparation under the guidance of Head Cook.
• Demonstrate flexibility and ability to learn different galley roles under supervision.
• Food prep, cleaning, dishwashing, baking, restocking, inventory counts.
• Performs routine deep cleaning of cooking area.
• Washes dishes and cookware, cleans tables and floors, empties trash.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
