Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Alaska seeks a kitchen role to support food preparation and daily galley operations. You will assist in cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment while learning multiple roles under the Head Cook.

The position emphasizes safety, PPE usage, and adherence to environmental policies; prior food service experience is a plus, and a Food Handler’s card is required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s card required within 30 days of employment.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in food service industry preferred.
• HS Diploma or equivalent (or degree, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Prepare food under the guidance of Head Cook.
• Learn different roles in the galley under supervision of the Cook (Head Cook).
• Food prep, cleaning, dishwashing, baking, restocking, inventory counts.
• Perform routine deep cleaning of cooking area.
• Wash dishes and cookware, clean tables and floors, empty trash.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Acquire knowledge of Environmental and Safety Policies and complete required training.
• Notify designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks.
