Job summary

Trident Seafoods Corporation is seeking a Dining Hall Lead to assist the Head Cook in preparing meals for employees and crew. You will perform food prep, assist in multiple galley roles, and help maintain cleanliness and inventory in a fast-paced kitchen in Alaska.

Role requires 3+ years in a lead position at a Trident location, a Food Handler’s card within 30 days, and a willingness to learn all kitchen stations. This position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s card; required within 30 days of employment.
• Has worked in a Lead position at a Trident location for a minimum of 3+ years.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food preparation under the guidance of Head Cook.
• Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and to learn the different roles in the galley under the supervision of the Cook (Head Cook).
• Food prep, cleaning, dishwashing, baking, restocking, inventory counts.
• Performs routine deep cleaning of cooking area.
• Washes dishes and cookware, cleans tables and floors, empties trash.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
• Acquire knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
• Notify designated personnel of any environmental and safety incidents, or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and or Safety training.
