Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, HVAC, suspension, drive train, and electrical systems.

The role supports our fleet and drivers with state-of-the-art equipment, offering training and growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of heavy-duty truck experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to inspect and repair heavy truck systems with minimal supervision.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• Preferred CDL B minimum: Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components on diesel and non-diesel equipment.
• Service refuse bodies including control, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Repair and diagnose engines and fuel systems.
• Diagnose and repair air brake systems and HVAC components.
• Work on suspension, drive train and steering systems.
• Repair aftertreatment systems and emissions diagnostics.
• Perform line maintenance, welding and fabrication as needed.
