Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems. You’ll work with a team to support drivers and keep the fleet in peak condition, often performing on-site and road service.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues across chassis, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with light to heavy-duty trucks and related components is preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair chassis, refuse bodies and braking systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and on-site road service when needed.
• Weld and fabricate as part of line maintenance tasks.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete training programs.

Skills

Diagnose multi-system issues

Basic mechanical knowledge

ASE Certifications (T1-T8) a plus

Commercial Driver’s License a plus

3-5 years technician experience
