Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, engines, HVAC, and drive trains. You will work on a state-of-the-art fleet, supporting drivers on routes and tackling new challenges daily.

Qualified candidates diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise, have 5–7 years of truck experience, and may have ASE certifications or CDL-related

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5–7 years of experience on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspect and repair various heavy vehicle systems with partial supervision.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL B or higher is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, braking systems, engines, HVAC, and aftertreatment and diagnostics.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools and perform line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete company training programs.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
