Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel trucks and equipment. The role covers chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, HVAC, and suspension systems, with on‑site and field work to support drivers and routes.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in heavy‑duty truck maintenance, strong diagnostic skills, and ASE certifications are a plus. A Class B CDL is also a plus. Benefits are provided and a team‑oriented environment awaits.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a technician on heavy‑duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi‑system issues and perform inspections without supervision.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment including chassis, bodies, control, hydraulic and electrical systems; air brake systems.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools and diagnose fuel, hydraulic, and emission systems.
• Perform on‑site and on‑the‑road repairs; line maintenance and welding as needed.
• Complete company training programs and participate in safety and quality procedures.
