Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment across a single fleet.

You will work under supervision to service chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, HVAC and drive trains while advancing your skills and following safety standards. The role requires knowledge of multi-system diagnostics, basic engine work, and the ability to perform preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and apply repair knowledge.
• Experience with gasoline and diesel systems; ability to read schematics.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Graduation from automotive college or technical school within 3 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, and braking/electrical systems.
• Handle light engine work, HVAC, suspension, and drive train tasks.
• Weld and fabricate as needed and provide road service.
• Complete required company training and follow safety standards.
