Job summary

Kenco Group is seeking a Distribution Center General Manager to plan, direct, and optimize warehouse operations. The role applies the KOS/Shingo methodology to maximize efficiency and profitability while aligning with customer goals.

You will lead site management, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement through Lean practices and KPI analysis. Travel around 25% may be required; a strong leadership background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Logistics or Business field or related required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience within a distribution center and/or warehouse or related required.
• Experience leading a team of salary and hourly associates; strong people management and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with labor/workforce management systems (SAP, Red Prairie, High Jump, etc.) highly desired.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under stress and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead site management and personnel to ensure compliance with operating system, policy and SOPs.
• Maintain safety, operations, quality, financial, legal and regulatory functions on site.
• Develop long-term planning and strategic initiatives for the site.
• Own KPIs, BI/IMprovement initiatives, and P&L analyses for the site and customer.
• Foster communication with the customer and site staff.
