Job summary

Kenco Logistics Services, LLC is seeking a Distribution Center General Manager to plan, direct, and optimize warehouse operations in Port Reading, NJ. You will lead site management, ensure compliance with policies, and drive profitability with Lean methodologies according to Kenco's operating system.

The role requires a strategic leader who can manage cross-functional teams, develop long-range plans, and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering on safety, quality, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Logistics or Business or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience within a distribution center and/or warehouse or related.
• Experience leading a team of salary and hourly associates with strong people management and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with labor/workforce management systems (e.g., SAP, Red Prairie, High Jump).
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred but not required.
• Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities of site management and personnel to ensure compliance with defined operating system and SOPs.
• Maintain safety, operations, quality, financial, legal and regulatory functions on site.
• Develop long-term planning and strategic initiatives for the site to ensure success and customer satisfaction.
• Own site KPIs, BI plans, efficiency programs, and P&L analyses with reporting for customer and site teams.
• Coach and mentor site management to build bench strength and sustain the business.
• Promote a Lean Culture through 5S, Gemba walks, Kaizen events and employee involvement.
