Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Distribution Center General Manager in New Jersey to lead the site under the KOS/Shingo framework, driving safety, efficiency, and profitability. You will direct policy, procedures, and KPI-led improvements across the facility while fostering a Lean culture and strong customer partnership.

Key responsibilities include coordinating operations, mentoring managers, and delivering P&L results, with up to 25% travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Logistics or Business required.
• Min 7 years' progressive DC/Warehouse experience.
• Proven leadership of salary and hourly associates and strong people management.
• Experience with labor/workforce management systems (SAP, Red Prairie, High Jump) desired.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities of site management and ensure SOP compliance.
• Maintain safety, operations, quality, financial, legal and regulatory functions.
• Develop long-term planning and strategic site initiatives.
• Oversee KPIs, BI plans, efficiency programs, and P&L metrics.
• Communicate with customer relationships and conduct management reviews.
• Coach and mentor site management and personnel for bench strength.
• Promote Lean culture with 5S, Gemba walks, Kaizen events, and suggestion boards.
• Analyze operations to improve cross-functional efficiency and throughput.
• Translate customer goals into site-level objectives and performance.
