Job summary

Kenco Group is seeking aDistribution Center General Manager to lead site operations, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives at our Portage, MI facility. You will drive profitability by implementing policies, coaching leaders, and managing performance across the site using established methods.

You will oversee long-term planning, KPI tracking, and customer relationships, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and operating system guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Logistics or Business field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a distribution center or warehouse.
• Experience leading salary and hourly teams with strong people skills.
• Experience with labor/workforce management systems (e.g. SAP, Red Prairie, High Jump) highly desired.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred but not required.
• Proven ability to work under stress and manage multiple projects to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead site management and personnel to comply with operating system and policies.
• Maintain safety, operations, quality, financial, legal and regulatory functions on site.
• Develop long-term planning and strategic initiatives for the site.
• Monitor KPIs, BI, efficiency programs and P&L data; prepare customer reports.
• Foster communication with site and customer relations; provide feedback.
• Coach and mentor site management to sustain business and lean culture.
• Analyze operations to improve cross-functional efficiencies and throughput.
