Job summary

Kenco Logistics in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Distribution Center General Manager to lead site operations under the KOS/Lean framework, drive efficiency, safety, and profitability, and align with customer goals. You will manage site leadership, develop long-term strategic plans, monitor KPIs, and mentor a team of salary and hourly staff while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

The role requires a degree in logistics or related field, 7+ years in DC/warehouse leadership, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Logistics or Business or related field.
• Minimum 7 years distribution center/warehouse leadership.
• Experience leading salary and hourly associates; strong people skills.
• Experience with labor/workforce systems (SAP, Red Prairie, High Jump) desirable.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead site management to ensure SOPs and policies are followed.
• Maintain safety, operations, quality, financials, and regulatory functions.
• Develop long-term site plans and customer relationships.
• Monitor KPIs, BIP, efficiency programs, and P&L analyses.
• Communicate with site and customer management for alignment.
• Coach and mentor site management and staff for bench strength.
• Support Lean culture with 5S, Gemba, Kaizen and suggestion boards.
• Analyze operations to improve cross-functional efficiency.
• Analyze throughput, capacity, and financial data.
• Build strong customer relationships and align with customer goals.
