Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer in the United States to lead the technical sales process and partner with customers to design solutions using Cloudera technologies. You will deliver compelling demonstrations, collaborate with Account Managers, and present the roadmap to drive adoption across industries.

The role requires 8+ years in a customer-facing capacity, strong communication, and expertise in big data, cloud platforms, and data governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing role (pre-sales preferred).
• Ability to create and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases.
• Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Background in Data Engineering, Data Science or Machine Learning.
• Experience with Operations, Security and Data Governance in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Unix or Linux.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from initial meetings to post-sales activities.
• Support customers—discovering new use cases for Cloudera technology.
• Design solutions using Cloudera technologies based on reference architectures and patterns.
• Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customer adoption and renewals.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to showcase value and drive sales.
• Present product roadmaps and vision to encourage broader engagement.
• Coordinate with other Cloudera teams to ensure a unified customer voice.
• Advocate for customer needs with Product Management and Engineering.
• Participate in external events (conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs).
