Cloudera is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for Federal Civilian to lead the technical sales process and craft solutions for government agencies. You will work with account teams, demonstrate Cloudera technology, and translate customer needs into architectural designs.

Requires 8+ years in customer-facing roles, strong cloud/data tool knowledge, and familiarity with US federal regulations. This remote role offers a competitive package and broad benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing, pre-sales context is highly valued.
• Ability to present technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of federal civilian agency data and analytic needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales (customer satisfaction, upselling, and renewals).
• Support the technical needs of customers including discovering new use cases and designing solutions with Cloudera technologies.
• Design solutions based on reference architectures and patterns.
• Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customer buy-in.
• Partner with Account Managers to show customers value and outcomes.
• Present product roadmaps and vision to inspire bigger thinking.
• Interface with other Cloudera teams to deliver a single voice.
• Advocate for customer needs to Product and Engineering.
• Participate in external publicity (conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs).
