Job summary

Cloudera in the United States seeks a Solutions Engineer to lead the technical sales process, from initial meetings to post-sales success, leveraging deep data platform expertise to craft customer-focused solutions.

You will demonstrate Cloudera technology, architect reference solutions, and collaborate with account teams to deliver measurable business outcomes while evangelizing our vision across conferences and webinars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a customer-facing or technical sales context.
• Experience with Big Data, data platforms, and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings to post-sales (customer satisfaction, upselling, and renewals).
• Discsvering new use cases for Cloudera’s technology with customers.
• Designing solutions for customers’ needs using Cloudera technologies, based on reference architectures.
• Demonstrating Cloudera products to inspire customer decisions.
• Partnering with Account Managers to show customer value and drive renewals.
• Presenting product roadmap and vision to customers.
• Interfacing with other Cloudera teams to ensure a single voice.
• Advocating for customer needs to Product Management and Engineering.
• Participating in conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs.
