Job summary

Cohesity is seeking a driven Sr. Sales Engineer to support enterprise engagements and help customers adopt our modern data security and management platform. You will partner with Account Executives to drive opportunities, deliver tailored technical solutions, and advance deal strategy with stakeholders.

You will be a trusted technical advisor across security, data protection, and cloud, contributing to end‑to‑end opportunity execution and customer enablement while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pre‑sales Sales Engineering or Solutions Consulting for infrastructure, data protection, security, or cloud platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with backup, recovery, data protection, storage, or cyber resilience across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud.
• Knowledge of data security concepts: ransomware resilience, immutable storage, encryption, access controls.
• Familiarity with competitive technologies and ability to position against competitors.
• Experience supporting proofs of concept, evaluations, and technical decision processes.
• Ability to translate architecture into clear customer value and business outcomes.
• Experience partnering with Account Executives on complex multi‑stakeholder cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity and decisions.
• Understanding of enterprise buying processes and deal dynamics.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for business and technical audiences.
• Collaborative mindset to manage complex customer situations professionally.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive new customer and expansion opportunities by articulating Cohesity’s Data Cloud portfolio to business and technical audiences.
• Provide expert, tailored technical support throughout the sales cycle, including discovery, solution design, demos, and proofs of concept.
• Support enterprise opportunity strategy in partnership with Account Executives, contributing to deal progression and win strategy.
• Enable customers to integrate Cohesity products into existing production environments and respond to technical requests promptly.
