Job summary

Affirm is hiring a Senior Analyst (L5) to own the full analytical lifecycle, translating regulatory, economic, and ML insights into actionable business strategy. You will partner with Engineering, ML, Product, Legal, and Compliance to inform risk, growth, and profitability across geographies.

We seek 2–5 years of analytics experience in fintech, strong SQL/Python, and a track record of cross‑functional leadership.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of analytically‑driven experience in consumer lending, credit, or fintech.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Deep data mining, visualization, and statistical modeling experience with ML applications.
• Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives across Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.
• Strong understanding of consumer lending regulations and regional market dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and optimize business, risk, or growth strategies across products and geographies.
• Monitor macro and market trends; adjust analytics and operations to balance risk and growth.
• Design and interpret performance metrics for scalable risk, fraud, or growth models with ML teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate regulatory requirements into analytics policy and product design.
• Oversee analytical frameworks and ensure launches align with risk appetite and local regulations.
• Engage with merchants, vendors, and partners to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
• Mentor junior analysts and build repeatable AI-assisted workflows.
