Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Analyst (L5) to own the full analytical lifecycle, turning complex data into actionable business decisions across risk, growth, and product domains. You will partner across Engineering, ML, Legal, Compliance, and Product to drive measurable impact.

In this remote-first role, you will analyze macro trends, build scalable models, and mentor junior analysts while translating regulatory and economic insights into policy and product design recommendations across geographies.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of analytics-driven experience in consumer lending/fintech.
• Degree in Data Science, CS, Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Experience applying machine learning to business or risk problems.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong understanding of lending regulations.
• Excellent communication for influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Optimize End-to-End Strategy across products and geographies.
• Monitor macro & market trends and adjust strategies.
• Model and build performance metrics with Engineering/ML teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate requirements.
• Oversee analytical frameworks and launches for new products.
• Engage with external stakeholders to align practices.
• Mentor junior analysts on technical craft and domain nuances.
