Job summary

Affirm is a leading fintech company changing consumer finance with data-driven decisions. We are seeking a Senior Analyst to own the entire analytical lifecycle and translate complex regulatory and economic insights into actionable business strategies across products and geographies.

You will partner with Engineering, ML, Product, Legal, and Compliance to drive risk, growth, and profitability while mentoring junior analysts and expanding scalable analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in data science, computer science, engineering, economics, or related quantitative field.
• 2–5 years of analytics experience in consumer lending, fintech, or fintech-adjacent context.
• Advanced SQL, Python or similar scripting languages; data mining and visualization skills.
• Ability to translate regulatory and economic insights into business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end analytical lifecycle from question to decision.
• Develop and optimize risk, growth, or product strategies across markets.
• Monitor macro trends and adjust analyses to balance risk and growth.
• Partner with engineering and ML teams to build metrics and models.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with Product, Legal, and Compliance.
• Design analytical frameworks for new product launches and market entries.
• Mentor junior analysts and drive scalable, repeatable workflows.
