Job summary

Affirm, a remote-first fintech, seeks a Senior Analyst (L5) to own the full analytical lifecycle—from question to final business decision. You will translate regulatory, economic, and ML insights into actionable strategies while collaborating with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering to balance risk and growth.

You will analyze portfolio performance, build scalable data foundations, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to cross-functional launches and market entries.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of analytically-driven experience in consumer lending, credit, or fintech.
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Deep expertise in data mining, data visualization, and statistical modeling, with ML experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the full analytical lifecycle from question to final business decision.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering to translate requirements into analytical policy and product design.
• Monitor portfolio performance and macro trends to balance risk and growth.
• Design, build, and interpret performance metrics for scalable risk, fraud, or growth models.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to align analytics with business objectives.
• Engage with external stakeholders to align practices and strengthen relationships.
• Mentor junior analysts and develop repeatable AI-assisted workflows.
