Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first fintech company reimagining consumer credit. As a Senior Analyst (L5) you will own the entire analytical lifecycle, from framing questions to delivering data-driven decisions that influence risk, product, and growth.

You will collaborate with ML, engineering, product, and compliance teams, translate regulatory and market insights into actionable strategies, and mentor junior analysts while helping scale analytics across geographies.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of analytically-driven experience in consumer lending, credit, or fintech.
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Deep expertise in data mining, data visualization, and statistical modeling, with ML experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives bridging Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the analytical lifecycle from question framing to business decision.
• Analyze portfolio performance and macro trends; adjust strategies to mitigate risk and drive growth.
• Design, build, and interpret performance metrics for risk, fraud, or growth models.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate regulatory and market requirements into analytics policy.
• Oversee development and execution of analytical frameworks for new product launches and market entries.
• Engage with merchants, vendors, and partners to align practices and strengthen relationships.
• Mentor junior analysts and build repeatable AI-assisted workflows.
