Job summary

Affirm is redefining credit with a remote-first data platform team in the United States. The role focuses on building and operating core platform capabilities that enable data applications at scale, with emphasis on governance, security, and automation.

You will contribute to next-generation semantic layer infrastructure and AI-native data tooling while maintaining high standards for reliability and operational excellence across the platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a cloud analytical data platform with governance and cost controls.
• Experience building and operating containerized apps and CI/CD deployments.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for platform services.
• Ability to design for developer experience and self-service tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform features that enable engineers to build, deploy, and operate data applications at scale.
• Build integrations between the platform and internal systems, ensuring secure, self-service access.
• Design secure data access patterns and governance across analytical infrastructure.
• Identify and automate toil to enable self-service for platform users.
• Improve observability, incident response, and runbooks to reduce blast radius.
