Job summary

Affirm is building a scalable data platform to support a remote-first team across OLTP/OLAP workloads. You will design, operate, and extend core platform capabilities, enabling data applications at scale while ensuring security, governance, and reliability.

As a senior contributor, you will drive automation, runbooks, and incident response, partnering with engineers, security, and infra teams to improve observability and reliability across affirm's data infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a cloud analytic data platform with governance and cost controls.
• Proficiency in containerized deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building internal platforms and self-service tooling for developers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform features for data applications at scale.
• Build integrations between the platform and internal systems (CI/CD, identity, external APIs).
• Design secure data access patterns and governance across analytical infra.
