Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect and scale a modern data platform. You will design ETL/ELT pipelines, optimize Snowflake schemas, and establish robust DataOps practices.

The role involves orchestrating workflows with Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster, implementing data quality and lineage frameworks, and applying CI/CD standards with Docker. You will focus on clean, well-tested Python code to ensure data reliability and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong Python fundamentals; modular, well-tested code.
• Advanced SQL with data modeling and normalization/denormalization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT workflows for batch and streaming data.
• Design production Snowflake schemas for analytics and performance.
• Ingest data from REST APIs, event streams, and batch sources into core storage.
• Maintain and expand Airflow/Prefect/Dagster pipelines.
• Implement data quality checks, lineage, and alerting frameworks.
• Apply CI/CD practices, code reviews, and containerization with Docker.
• Write clear documentation and ensure data reliability and accessibility.
