Job summary

AgileEngine seeks a Senior Data Engineer to architect and scale a modern data platform. You will design ETL/ELT pipelines, optimize Snowflake schemas, and implement DataOps practices to ensure data reliability.

You will orchestrate workflows with Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster, ingest data from REST APIs and streaming sources, and apply CI/CD, Docker, and testing standards to data repositories.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Core Python Fundamentals: modular, maintainable, well-tested Python code.
• Advanced SQL & Modeling with strong data warehousing experience on Snowflake.
• Data Warehousing: building and optimizing data architectures in Snowflake.
• Workflow Orchestration: production use of Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Integrations & Ingestion: REST APIs, event-driven architectures, batch and streaming pipelines.
• Data Quality & Lineage: automated checks, data lineage, alerting (dbt test/Great Expectations).
• DevOps / DataOps: Git, Docker, CI/CD, IaC basics.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT workflows from diverse sources.
• Design production-ready Snowflake schemas for analytics.
• Ingest data from REST APIs, events, and batch sources into core storage.
• Maintain and expand orchestration pipelines with Airflow/Prefect/Dagster.
• Implement data quality checks, lineage, and alerting mechanisms.
• Drive CI/CD practices, code in Git, Docker, and IaC basics.
• Apply software engineering standards to data repositories.
