Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead Data Center Controls Engineer – Power Systems to lead design, development, testing, and implementation of power systems protection and control solutions for hyperscale data centers. This role requires coordinating with project managers and engineering teams, driving schedules, and ensuring rigorous documentation and standards.

Travel up to 30% is expected. Preferred candidates hold a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and PE license, with extensive experience in IEC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution with 7+ years of controls experience in power distribution applications or a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
• Driver’s license and clean MVR; background check per policy
• Preferred: Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and PE license

Responsibilities

• Lead data center power control project execution from design to site acceptance testing.
• Drive project planning with PMs and engineering teams; develop schedules, FD docs, sequences of operation, I/O lists, and network architecture.
• Provide technical and organizational leadership; assign work and ensure documentation quality and project records.
• Support business growth and operational readiness through collaboration with engineers on proposals and with operations on resources and training.
• Lead standardization efforts and mentoring to uphold design and execution best practices.
