Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division seeks a Lead Data Center Controls Engineer – Power Systems to design, develop, test, and implement power system protection and control solutions for hyperscale customers. You will lead projects using PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and protection relays, with expected 30% travel and involvement across PSC groups.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering with 7+ years of controls experience in power distribution applications.
Willingness to travel 30% of the time.
Current, unrestricted driver's license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record; background check upon hire.
Master's degree and PE license are preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the execution of data center power control projects, including design, engineering, software development, simulation, factory testing, and site acceptance testing.
Drive project planning and delivery by partnering with Project Managers and engineering teams to develop schedules, resource plans, functional design documents, sequences of operation, I/O lists, and network architecture.
Provide technical and organizational leadership by assigning work, coordinating resources, ensuring documentation quality, and maintaining project records.
Support business growth and readiness by collaborating on proposals and with Operations to ensure resource availability and training.
Advance organizational excellence by leading standardization efforts and mentoring new engineers.
