Job summary

Eaton seeks a Lead Data Center Controls Engineer – Power Systems to spearhead the design, development, testing, and deployment of protection and control solutions for hyperscale data centers. You will work with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, relays, and data concentrators from major OEMs to deliver reliable power systems.

In this role, you will drive project planning, create function design documents, and ensure quality across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in controls for power distribution; Master’s with 5+ years also qualifies.
• Travel up to 30% is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record; drug/background checks may apply.
• Preferred: PE license and MS in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center power control projects from design through testing and on-site support.
• Partner with PMs and engineering to develop schedules, FDDs, I/O lists, and network layouts.
• Provide technical leadership, assign work, and maintain project documentation on PSC SharePoint.
• Collaborate on proposals, resource planning, training, and execution readiness.
• Drive standardization, mentorship, and feedback for project teams.
