Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead Data Center Controls Engineer – Power Systems in the United States to lead end-to-end power control projects for hyperscale centers. You will design, develop, test, and implement protection and control solutions using PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and relays across major OEM platforms.

The role emphasizes leadership, engineering rigor, and collaboration with project managers, operations, and customers. Travel is 30%, with overtime pay and a company vehicle where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with 7+ years of controls experience in power distribution applications, including centralized and distributed transfer schemes
• Available to travel 30% of time
• Requires a current, unrestricted driver's license and a satisfactory MVR; background check on hire
• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
• PE License (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead data center power control projects from design to site acceptance.
• Coordinate planning with Project Managers and engineering teams to develop schedules and design documents.
• Provide technical and organizational leadership by assigning work and ensuring documentation quality.
• Support business growth and readiness through collaboration on proposals and with operations teams.
