Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead Data Center Controls Engineer – Power Systems in the United States to lead design, development, testing, and implementation of data center power protection and control solutions. You will manage projects using PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and protection relays across hyperscale environments, with about 30% travel.

The role requires a strong background in medium-voltage protection, IEC 61850 systems, and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering with 7+ years of controls experience in power distribution applications OR a Master's degree with at least 5 years of the required experience
Willingness to travel 30% of the time
Valid driver's license with clean MVR and ability to pass background checks

Responsibilities

Lead the execution of data center power control projects from design to site acceptance testing
Develop schedules,FDs, IO lists, and network architecture with Project Managers and engineering teams
Provide technical and organizational leadership by coordinating resources and ensuring documentation quality
Support proposals and asset readiness with Negotiation Application Engineers and Operations leaders
Mentor engineers and drive standardization and best-practice execution
