Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer to design and deliver HVAC solutions for data center clients. You will participate in field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, and size/select equipment while preparing construction design packages.

You will manage schedule and technical quality of demanding engineering tasks, working with a multi-disciplinary team to establish process design bases, develop optimized designs, and generate calculations and drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC system design.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with a building mechanical team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers and other facilities.
• Develop design criteria for HVAC systems including comfort and cleanliness requirements.
• Prepare calculations, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Layout ductwork from P&IDs and develop final design documents.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and teams.
