Jacobs in Chantilly, VA, seeks a Senior HVAC Engineer for data center projects within its Advanced Manufacturing Group. You will lead the Building Mechanical team, perform field investigations, size equipment, and prepare design packages for construction.

You will collaborate with clients and vendors, develop design criteria, P&IDs, and final drawings, while mentoring less experienced staff in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HVAC system design.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers and large facilities.
• Develop design criteria, P&IDs, and sizing calculations.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final design documents.
• Layout ductwork based on P&ID and develop final construction drawings.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with clients and vendors.
