Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Senior Development Project Manager to lead design, preconstruction and construction on data center projects. You will work with facilities, contractors, designers and vendors to ensure timely, on-budget delivery and provide regular executive updates.

The role requires a science/engineering degree or equivalent, 5+ years in commercial construction and willingness to travel up to 25%. US citizenship is required for federal contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five+ years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including Lump Sum, CM@R, and Design Build.
• Experience with PowerPoint for executive updates and Excel for budgets.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• US Citizenship is required for this position by law due to federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple campus development projects with updated budgets, schedules and reports.
• Create monthly executive updates on development program and project status.
• Develop master development plans for sites including campus designs and capital budgets.
• Lead entitlement and permitting processes for site projects.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and procurement teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Review and approve monthly pay apps and change orders from contractors.
• Maintain site master plans and establish project schedules and teams for timely completion.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams on custom deal solutions within schedule and budget.
