Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Development Sr. Project Manager for Data Center Construction MEPR to lead design, pre-construction and construction activities on assigned projects. You will work with Facilities, Contractors, Designers and Operations daily to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires strong communication, extensive coordination, and a track record in mission-critical facilities. Travel up to 25% and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive updates, and Excel for budgets.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects on a campus and maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Create and communicate updates on development program & project status for executive reviews.
• Present information to support efficient decision making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create a master development program and budget.
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for each site project.
• Develop and implement multi-phased site development plans to meet time, budget, and quality targets.
• Update campus master plans with predictable statistics in a dynamic environment.
• Draft scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services; participate in procurement and cost estimates.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services.
• Coordinate with Strategic Procurement on equipment procurement and delivery.
• Oversee submittals with site stakeholders and monitor project budgets.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience

MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable
