Job summary

McKinstry seeks a Senior Account Executive for its Data Center Innovations division in Seattle, WA. You will manage higher complexity sales projects, nurture client relationships and oversee larger contracts, focusing on strategic market development and proposal excellence.

You will lead teams, coordinate with business units, and drive performance through accurate estimates and effective communication. A degree in business/engineering/construction is required with extensive sales leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals and estimates.
• Knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems.
• Seven (7) years of experience with a mechanical or electrical construction contractor.
• Five (5) years of experience leading and closing sales.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manages a percentage of the annual sales based on department needs.
• Produces accurate estimates, assembles quality proposals and demonstrates good written communication skills utilizing McKinstry guidelines and proposal formats.
• Builds and owns market strategies including SWOT analysis and competitive analysis.
• Coordinates with Business Unit Manager to ensure successful execution of projects.
• Assists with managerial functions including hiring, coaching and separations.
• Gives feedback to leadership to conduct performance evaluations.
• Builds and maintains relationships with industry leaders and organizations in regional markets.
• Takes ownership of accounts as assigned by Business Development Director.
