Job summary

McKinstry in Pasco, WA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Data Center Construction to lead delivery of complex data center projects, ensuring fiscal performance, technical quality, and strong stakeholder coordination from initiation through closeout. You will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, help manage scope, schedule, and costs, and uphold McKinstry safety standards.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or comparable degree.
• 2 years of Project Engineer role equivalent required.
• Knowledge of construction management, commercial building process, and financial acumen required.
• Experience on large data center projects preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) and LEED designations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Support RFP processes and procurement coordination.
• Coordinate equipment procurement with purchasing and outside vendors.
• Assist in development of scope of work for subcontractors.
• Oversee scheduling and coordination of trades.
• Assist with project controls, including subcontractor billings and cost logs and client billings.
• Prepare monthly project accounting reviews and cost issue logs.
• Maintain drawings, RFIs, submittals, and maintenance manuals.
• Assess site safety and uphold safety standards.
