Job summary

Databricks is seeking experienced pre-sales professionals to drive data-driven transformations for large enterprise accounts in Retail and CPG, in collaboration with Account Executives. You will articulate the technical strategy, guide proofs of concept, and mentor teammates to maximize adoption of the Databricks platform.

The role requires 6+ years in large deployments, 4+ years in pre-sales, strong big data and cloud skills, and hands-on data science experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years delivering value for very large (> $1m ARR) Retail/CPG accounts.
• 4+ years in pre-sales or supporting sales efforts.
• Strong technical background in big data, data science and cloud.
• Proven ability to drive data-driven business transformation.
• 3+ years with design/implementation in Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP/OLAP.
• Production programming in Python, R, Scala or Java; Databricks cert is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the main technical voice for up to 9 clients within Databricks.
• Lead customers through a transformational journey to adopt Databricks.
• Implement the technical strategy in accounts and align with Databricks solutions.
• Mentor other team members and build technical champions in accounts.
• Collaborate with AE and hands-on resources to build proofs of concept.
