Job summary

Databricks is seeking experienced pre-sales professionals to lead the technical strategy for our largest Retail and CPG accounts. You will collaborate with AEs and a hands-on team to drive adoption of the Databricks platform, focusing on ML/AI use cases and value-driven outcomes.

You will guide customers through a transformational journey, implement the technical strategy, and cultivate technical champions within accounts, while mentoring other team members and aligning solutions to client needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in large Retail/CPG accounts (> $1m ARR).
• 4+ years in pre-sales or supporting sales.
• Strong technical background in big data, data science and cloud.
• Ability to drive data-driven business transformation.
• 4+ years design/implementation in Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP/OLTP/OLAP or end-to-end data science solutions.
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala or Java.
• Nice to have Databricks Certification.

Responsibilities

• You will work with 1-5 clients as the main technical voice for Databricks.
• You will lead your customers on a transformational journey, helping them to evaluate and adopt Databricks as part of their strategy.
• You will implement the technical strategy in the account, with a close understanding of the strategy.
• Build a movement of technical champions within the account.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions.
• You will provide structured mentorship for other team members.
