Job summary

Databricks is seeking an experienced pre-sales professional to partner with Account Executives in Retail and CPG. You will define and direct the technical strategy for major accounts, driving adoption of ML and AI across the Databricks platform.

You will collaborate with hands-on teams to build PoCs and demonstrate value to customers. You will guide 1-5 clients as the main technical voice, leading transformational journeys, and mentoring other engineers to scale technical impact across

Qualifications

• 8+ years in very large Retail/CPG accounts (> $1m ARR).
• 4+ years in pre-sales or supporting sales activity.
• Strong background in big data, data science, and cloud.
• 4+ years of design/implementation in Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP/OLAP or end-to-end data science solutions.
• Production programming in Python, R, Scala, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Be the main technical voice for 1-5 clients within Databricks' Retail/CPG accounts.
• Lead customers through a transformational journey and drive adoption of Databricks solutions.
• Implement the technical strategy in each account with deep understanding of the plan.
• Build a movement of technical champions inside the account.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks offerings.
• Provide structured mentorship to team members.
