Job summary

Databricks is seeking an experienced pre‑sales professional to lead the technical strategy for large enterprise accounts in Retail, Travel & Hospitality and CPG, driving ML & AI adoption.

You will partner with AEs and hands‑on resources to transform customers with data‑driven strategies, build technical champions, and ensure successful deployment of Databricks solutions.

This role requires 5+ years in large accounts, 3+ years in pre‑sales, and strong data, cloud, and big data experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working with very large accounts (> $1m ARR) in Retail/CPG.
• 3+ years in a pre‑sales capacity or supporting sales activity.
• Technical experience in big data, data science, and cloud.
• 3+ years design/implementation in big data technologies (Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP/OLAP).
• Experience maintaining and extending production data systems.
• Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Work with 1–5 clients as the main technical voice for Databricks.
• Lead customers on a transformational journey, helping them adopt Databricks.
• Implement the technical strategy in the account based on customer strategy.
• Build a movement of technical champions within the account.
• Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions.
• Provide structured mentorship for other team members.
