Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a Customs Declaration Logistics Specialist to own inbound customs declarations for all goods entering the company. You will manage ACE filings, HTS classifications, and duties, coordinating with brokers, suppliers, carriers, and legal counsel to keep entries accurate and on time.

In this role, you will review invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, audit broker performance, and monitor tariff policy changes that affect imports.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in customs, import compliance, or logistics.
• Hands-on ACE filing and discrepancy resolution.
• Working knowledge of HTS classifications, customs valuation, and country-of-origin rules.
• Experience handling high shipment volumes with deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication with internal teams and legal counsel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit inbound customs declarations on time.
• Submit and track CBP ACE filings and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and create commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and broker filings.
• Determine HTS classifications and maintain accurate entries.
• Manage and audit third‑party customs brokers.
• Track duty and tariff spend and identify cost reductions.
• Monitor tariff changes and flag impacts for imports.
• Keep audit-ready records.
