Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Customs Operations Specialist to manage US inbound customs, aligning documentation, classifications, and compliance. You will lead broker coordination, ensure timely cargo release, and drive process improvements across import operations.

The role demands 5+ years in international customs, strong knowledge of HS codes and Section 232, and hands-on SAP S/4HANA GTS/TM experience. CCS certification is preferred and work authorization in the US is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing international inbound customs operations.
• Advanced knowledge of HS codes, Incoterms, and Section 232 requirements.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, including GTS and TM modules.

Responsibilities

• Lead inbound customs operations for US shipments and validate documents.
• Coordinate with brokers to prepare entries and release cargo.
• Verify HS/HTS classifications and trade compliance data.
• Prepare SAP GTS instructions and monitor KPIs for performance.
