Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a detail‑oriented customs brokerage professional to serve as the customer service liaison for U.S. shipments. You will process Custom and OGA entries, classify invoices by HTS, and manage files using Cargowise and AS400 systems.

You will coordinate with forwarders, carriers, and government agencies, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation. Strong communication and multitasking are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customs brokerage or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. Government Agency requirements.
• Knowledge of U.S. Customs and OGA clearance of freight.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication with internal/external customers.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to multitask and apply common sense to instructions.
• Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations.

Responsibilities

• Acts as customer service liaison between GEODIS and the customer.
• Processes Custom and OGA entries for US freight clearance.
• Uses Cargowise and AS400 to manage records and notes.
• Classifies invoices based on HTS.
• Requests information/documents from customers, suppliers and agencies.
• Communicates with offices and teams on customs brokerage issues.
• Files documents by shipping/reference number.
• Ensures compliance with FDA, EPA, FCC, Fish & Wildlife, etc.
• Coordinates shipments with forwarders, lines, airlines, and agents.
• Verifies shipment weight, volume and currency.
